CHRISTOPHER MIERS RBA

BORN 1941

   RHODODENDRONS & TERRACING, NEPAL

OIL ON BOARD 1993

Christopher Miers is a landscape painter who works direct from the subject, in oils or tempera. Many of his paintings are the result of travels abroad and are completed on the spot. Now and then, however, he develops these on a larger scale in his studio in Fulham. In this country he spends many happy hours painting in the local allotments and on the banks of the River Thames nearby; and he keeps a small canal boat, converted as a floating studio, in Oxfordshire.

Christopher has a one-man show in London every other year.
