BELT CARE
Over time, rubber drive belts lose their elasticity, become worn with age and usage, and so lose their grip. If your belt has been unchecked for a period of time, you may find that it has perished, hardened, crumbled or even left a black gooey residue - care should be taken when removing these old belts so as not to cover sensitive parts in any residue. The result is that the belt doesn't provide the grip required to drive your audio equipment.

Replace your old belt with one that has recently been produced, which provides good grip and tension.

Listed are some of most commonly used belts that we have come across. To select the correct belt for your audio equipment, carefully measure the belt length and width required, and select the appropriate size...

EXAMPLE - If you require a belt for a turntable, then, if possible, measure the BELT PATH of the turntable with a piece of non stretchy thread. Deduct approx 4-5% from this length to provide a length of belt which will then provide a little tension when stretched around the measured path.

If you are measuring an existing belt, then please note that older belts may have stretched a little... you will need to ensure you choose a belt which is a little shorter - if you are unsure of what size belt you require please get in touch ... we'll try to help.
