Gordian (Toushi Gordian) è una serie televisiva anime tratta dall'omonimo manga di Yu Yamamoto e prodotta dalla Tatsunoko fra il 1978 e il 1979.
Si compone di 73 episodi ed è stata trasmessa per la prima volta in Italia nel 1981 su alcune reti locali.
Gordian è la composizione di tre robot i quali non si configurano come singole parti di un più grande mecha ma adottano una conformazione a matrioska in modo tale che ognuno inglobi completamente il precedente di scala più piccola, come fossero delle armature indossate una sull'altra. Perciò ciascun robot è effettivamente un singolo mecha di per sé, sebbene possa alla bisogna anche agire in maniera indipendente dal controllo umano diretto.
Questa particolarissima strutturazione robotica e le variazioni strategiche così generate presenti nei combattimenti e inserite negli episodi della serie hanno portato Gordian a essere dai fan considerato animazione di culto. [Fonte: Wikipedia]

Gordian Warrior is a Japanese anime television series that aired in 1979 to 1981. There were 73 episodes. It is also referred to as Champion of Gordian or Gardian.
The Earth had become a wasteland of deserts as the survivors work to rebuild communities. Daigo Otaki is a young orphan raised by his uncle. Becoming an adult, Daigo discovers that Victor City was in fact planned by his father who was a genius scientist. Daigo's sister Saori had been managing it. She pleaded with Daigo to take on the inheritance that Daigo's father left him, a super robot system known as Gordian. Daigo would join the Mechacon mechanic combat 18th regiment unit, an organization of law enforcers that defend Victor City against attacks from the Madokuta organization.
The pilot Daigo Otaki controls a small almost human-sized robot container named Protteser. Each time Protteser is in trouble, he jumps into the next biggest robot container named Delinger. Then finally the largest container is Garbin. [Source: Wikipedia]
