A professionally formulated Skin Peel, Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy (BHA) acid, initially derived from the bark of the Willow tree and various wintergreen leaves. Nowadays, Salicylic Acid is synthetically produced under various scientific processes. Its medicinal value as a pain reliever and fever reducer has been well documented since ancient time.

For exfoliating purposes, it helps the dead epidermal skin cells to shed, exposing new, more vibrant and healthy cells below. It penetrates deep into clogged pores to remove dirt, oil and other impurities, loosens and lifts out blackheads and evens out skin tone.Once pores have been penetrated and unclogged, it helps prevent them from clogging by constricting their diameter. This helps minimize future dirt and oil building up in the skin.

The anti-inflammatory properties also immediately reduce acne inflammation, whilst making it ideal for sensitive skins.

Salicylic Peels are the perfect choice for a Skin Peel, as the Kit comes complete with a Pre-Peel Primer (balances and prepare the skin prior to application) and the Post-Peel neutralizer (safely and quickly neutralizes the peel and restores the skins natural pH) enhancing the effects of the treatment and providing a safe and effective resurfacing treatment without the downtime of a more invasive peel.

The fan brush provided also will give an even coverage of the gel peel, and your order includes a complete and detailed instruction card for safe and effective application.The higher percentage of a skin peel does not necessarily give you a better result.

The pH of the product will also alter the effects on the treatment.

Our products are pH tested for efficacy, whilst minimising any irritation and discomfort.

High percentages with low pH levels are best left for the professionals!The goal is to exfoliate, clear and refine the skin in a controlled manner and results can take time.

Your skin will look and feel cleaner, softer and smoother immediately following your first application, however as your pores are being cleared of embedded dirt and sebum this may cause a temporary breakout. Don’t be disheartened- the pores are clearing and within several weeks your skin will show improved clarity with minimal breakouts.

After the skin has cleared it is important to maintain weekly treatments to prevent the pores becoming clogged, and our Salicylic 2% Exfoliator is perfect for in between peels to keep the pores clean and fresh.
