Thanks to its special properties, the Mi-Heat low-voltage heating film is ideal for equipping and retrofitting electric underfloor heating in caravans, mobile homes, caravans, campers, tiny houses, boats, trucks, cars, campers, motorhomes, expedition vehicles or similar vehicles. The heating foil can be used in almost any project and also enables self-sufficient operation.

The heat generated by the heating foil is transferred directly and evenly to the floor covering laid over the heating foil, thus ensuring pleasantly warm feet. The heating foil can be installed quickly and with low investment costs as additional heating in vehicles.

As a supplement to an already installed independent heater, our floating electric underfloor heating gives you even more freedom and independence when traveling. Extend your camping adventure and enjoy the comfort of a warm floor even in the cooler seasons!

When installing the heating foils in vehicles, the following points must be observed:

• The heating foil can only be used to control the temperature of the floor in vehicles. In order to raise the room air temperature, an additional heat source is required (auxiliary heaters such as Truma or Webasto).
• The heating foil must not be laid in areas where there are fully supported furniture or objects with a diameter larger than 6 cm.
• The heating foil must always be thermally monitored using a thermostat and an external floor sensor (the matching M3 thermostat is already included in this set).
• If several heating foil strips are used, they must be connected to the thermostat in parallel. The maximum switching capacity of the thermostat (M3 thermostat max. 240W/20A) must be taken into account (see calculation example below). Depending on the number of heating foils, there may be additional Wago clamps required.
• In order to be able to feel the heat generated, the heating foil must be covered with a floor covering. The heating foil can also be partially covered for testing purposes.
• Do not use the palm of your hand to measure the temperature, as it is approximately the same temperature as the surface temperature of the heating foil. To do this, use an infrared thermometer or a thermostat with an external floor sensor. The possibly The necessary settings for electric underfloor heating can be found in the thermostat instructions.
• Depending on the current ambient temperature, a lead time of up to 60 minutes should be planned.

Recommendation:

• By using our 1.5mm heating film base, the efficiency of the heating film can be increased further.

Calculation example:

Before ordering, the total power consumption of all heating foils should be calculated so that the maximum switching power of the thermostat (M3 thermostat: 240W/20A) is not exceeded.
