The design changed sometime in the mid 1980s.  A few, like the one for sale have different (Magnabass?) pickups and black hardware.

• The body is walnut in brown, Hard Maple through neck, Rosewood 22 fret fingerboard.
• 2 Magnabass T pickups
• Controls – 3 way pickup switch,  master volume, master tone, equalizer tone, coil tap(*), dual tone and active bypass switches
• Magna Cast bridge, black hardware. one knob cover is missing and there are are 2 small digs one on the front of the headstock bottom right and one on the rear of the neck and one larger but minor chip on the bottom of the body.
• the dual tone selector switch has broken its toggle and will need replacing if you need this
• the socket to plug it in has come unsoldered but i guarantee the electrics all work ok

• the westone logos on the pickups have worn away as with age and i have owned this bass from new
• finally the bass has had a fret dress and setup  a few years back and plays like a dream
• i will be sorry to see this bass go but funds are low
• I will accept returns if the electrics are found to not work after soldering the socket

• i forgot to mention the battery cover is missing
• after getting this bass from the cuboard it has been stored in for about the last ten years
• it has quite a few gig  wounds that i didnt remember about
