Custom designed and molded here in Australia, Auto Openers presents to you the perfect solution to helping protect your home.

Suitability & Measurements

The seal is 85mm left to right and 18mm high..

Installation

Clean the area where the Garage Seal will be installed and ensure that the concrete is free from dust, grime, oil, grease and any other contaminants prior to fitting. Where the concrete surface has been previously painted then a wire brush should be used to remove any loose or flaking paint to ensure good adhesion of the Sealant. Wipe the Garage Seal with a clean cloth to remove any residue from the manufacturing process.

Step 1
Measure the overall width of the garage door opening (brick to brick) and add an extra 100mm overhang to allow for trimming around door frame. Cut seal to length.

Step 2
Position the seal against the inside edge of the garage door frame, and mark with a pencil where the floor seal needs to be trimmed to fit around the door frame at either end of the seal. Trim the seal using a Stanley knife and ensure a snug fit around door frame.

Step 3
From inside the Garage, with the door closed, push the floor seal under the door so that the raised section of the seal is touching the bottom inside edge of the garage door. Once you are happy with the position mark along the floor the entire length of the seal with a pencil, then open the door and
carefully mark the floor along the outside edge of the seal.

Note: You can check a good fit by looking for light coming through between floor seal and garage door bottom seal with the door closed. There should be no light visible to ensure water-tight seal.

Step 4
Remove the floor seal and mark two parallel lines 10mm inside the lines that you have previously marked on the floor. Apply a 4-5mm bead of sealant/adhesive as per manufacturer’s instructions; to the two inside parallel lines then apply sealant in a zigzag formation between the lines.

Once you have finished applying the sealant immediately position the floor seal.

Step 5
Finally, starting at one end place the floor seal over the sealant on the floor and press firmly downwards, continue the same process until the entire seal has been fitted. Carefully check fitment and make any necessary final adjustments before sealant cures. Excess sealant can be wiped clean immediately or trimmed neatly once dry.

Close the garage door and leave it closed for a minimum of 24 hours.
This will maintain continuous pressure on the floor Seal and allow the adhesive to bond correctly. Do not drive over floor seal during this period.
