This uncirculated 60 Thai baht banknote commemorates the 60th anniversary of the ascension of Rama IX (Bhumibol Adulyadej) to the throne. It is a gold, brown, and green banknote that is dated BE 2549 (2005), bear the signatures of Finance Minister Thanong Bidaya and Bank of Thailand Governor Pridyathorn Devakula, is introduced in 2006, and measures 162 mm x 81 mm. Its obverse side features the Royal Garuda emblem, the royal seal, and a portrait of Rama IX Bhumibol Adulyadej seated on the throne wearing the Chakri Dynasty robe. Its reverse side depicts the various royal duties that Adulyadej fulfilled, including the building of a dam, the development of agriculture, and the various meetings and planning he has done with his subjects.
