THE EXPOSED FOAM TONGUES, SWOOSHES AND LACES — WHICH COME IN SHADES OF GREEN AND WHITE — ARE ALL DOUBLED UP, WHILE THE SOLE IS LAYERED AND EXAGGERATED TO DRIVE HOME CHITOSE ABE’S EXPERIMENTAL LOOK

Nike and Sacai have a longstanding and harmonious partnership, one that’s centred around reworking archival classics with an avant-garde focus. Unsurprisingly, their latest link-up follows suit, and it’s the much-loved Blazer that gets the nod again.

It’s the low-top version this time, though, but the rest is given the same approach as previous releases. The exposed foam tongues, Swooshes and laces — which come in shades of green and white — are all doubled up, while the sole is layered and exaggerated to drive home Chitose Abe’s experimental look.

Sacai and Nike had join forces once again for the new Blazer Low 'Classic Green' sneakers. This shoe grabs the attention, of course, because of its colourways. The grey leather covers up the entire upper creating the perfect canvas for the green, light blue and white accents. And, the double Swoosh logos and the lace panel are detailed with bold colours, brightening up the entire sneaker.

Creative Director of Sacai Ms Chitose Abe lends her experimental eye to Nike's signature 'Blazer' sneakers. Made from supple leather in a fresh grey, white and green palette, this low-top style has a cool, layered profile with suede trims. The padded canvas collars and vulcanised rubber soles provide comfort and support.

Famed designer Chitose Abe brings her unifying vision to the Nike x Sacai Blazer Low.Spliced upper materials, tongue overlays and co-branding combine 2 of Nike's earliest basketball models, celebrating the continued partnership of sport and fashion.

One of my favorite “vintage discoveries” is when I find a piece of DEADSTOCK VINTAGE.It’s like finding a diamond amongst the jewels: I’m already so satisfied with the vintage finds I’m discovering, but then I see a shimmer that truly makes my heart beat faster — a piece of vintage with the original tags.Deadstock vintage are called as such because they have “passed away” [i.e. died] from the original stock where they previously existed [i.e. lived] in a store. The piece of vintage clothing was never sold from that store for whatever reason — perhaps it was a piece of sale clothing that was unbought, or the store/boutique/department store chain fell bankrupt and its remaining inventory found its way to a thrift store or the hands of a vintage boutique owner.
