Our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating foils are among the thinnest versions of electrical heating systems and are specifically designed for use as floor, wall or ceiling heating. They can be used equally in new buildings or during renovations. renovations are used. But the perforated heating foils are also used in many other industrial projects.

The special feature of these heating foils is the fleece lamination and uniform perforation (holes), which enables extremely easy processing. This means that the heating foils can, for example, be laid universally as electric surface heating under tiles, granite or fine stoneware in flexible tile adhesive. Alternatively, processing in floor leveling compound is possible.  

Of course, it can also be installed under bondable floor coverings such as vinyl, parquet or herringbone laminate. To do this, the perforated heating foils are simply fixed to the surface using flooring adhesive and then the respective flooring is glued onto it. Another option is invisible installation on the wall or ceiling, in which the low-voltage heating foils can be applied either with fine or textured plaster or fixed smoothly behind wallpaper.

The heating foils consist of two copper strips that provide an electrically conductive carbon coating on a carrier material. As soon as a voltage (either direct or alternating voltage) is applied to the copper strips of the heating foils, the carbon material heats up and emits long-wave infrared radiation with an IR wavelength of 7-14 micrometers (IR-C radiation). Almost the entire surface of the heating foil heats up extremely evenly, ensuring homogeneous heat distribution. Compared to other electrical heating systems, the energy used is converted into heat without major losses, which makes the heating foils very efficient.

The range of our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating foils extends to various voltages between 24 - 48 volts (AC/DC) and heating outputs of 55 - 584 W/m² (+/- 10%). The 24V variants of the heating foils are particularly suitable for use in damp rooms, which enables underfloor heating in a walk-in shower, for example.

A notice: For a complete heating solution, a suitable voltage source (e.g. transformer or battery) as well as a suitable thermostat with an external temperature sensor is required. The thermostat ensures thermal monitoring of the heating foil and also ensures that the temperature is limited to the maximum temperature specified by the covering manufacturer.
