Chrome Combination Keyless Cam Lock 7/8’’ Will fit a pinball coin door perfectly.

Well, after losing the key to the coin door lock on my pinball machine countless times and having to drill out the old locks to replace them with new ones, I finally decided to look for an alternative to the traditional key lock. That’s when I purchased one of these sleek chrome combination 7/8’’ cam locks. When it arrived, I eagerly replaced the old key lock and discovered that the new lock wouldn’t tighten securely because the coin door is a lot thinner than a cabinet for which these locks were intended. After hours of frustration and dozens of failed attempts, I was finally able to get it secured properly using a rubber grommet that slid on snug over the shaft and seated against the outside of the coin door and the back of the lock face. But when I shut the coin door and tried to turn the lock it wouldn’t budge! I took off the lockdown bar from the pinball machine so I could see what was happening behind the coin door after it was closed and I could see that the cam, that came with the lock, was hitting the side of the machine because the cam lock was too short and there wasn’t enough clearance for it to turn freely. I spent a small fortune purchasing and trying out different cams and finally found the “needle in the haystack” cam that worked perfectly. So now what I’m selling is a combination 7/8’’ cam lock modified to work perfectly on the coin door of any arcade cabinet or pinball machine.
