Hello.
This is the 6500/1P was an advanced version of the 6502 and was used by Commodore computers to control the Amiga keyboard and the 1520  printer/plotter.  Its a microcontroller with a 6502 core.  It contains an internal ROM which contains the characters in the picture (thanks to Jim Brain).  Other than that its an 8 bit NMOS microcomputer on a single chip and is totally upward/downward software compatible with all members of the 6500 family including the 6502.
2048 bytes of masked ROM memory mapped from 800 to FFF.
64x8 RAM,
1Mhz-3Mhz,
flexible interface circuitry that includes a 16 bit programmable counter/latch with 4 operating modes,
32 bidirectional I/O lines,
5 interrupts and a counter I/O line.
It is not pin for pin compatible to the 6502.
