Early 20th Century lithograph print
of original 1800’s Pennsylvania Folk Art Watercolor painting of a BOY holding a
ROOSTER adhered to a portion of an early cardboard RED MAN CIGAR LEAF tobacco
advertising store display sign within a lovely antique hand carved wood frame
with crosses and carved bead edge.
...In the manner of Jacob Maentel (1763-1863). Unsigned with possible faint initials in the lower right corner.
...Looks like “HC” (hand colored) just above the grass line left of the boy.

CONDITION is estate fresh as shown displaying
appropriate signs of age and use, minor surface wear and yellowing, discoloration
of the mat, and separation at the corner of the frame.
