H.C. Andersen’s Eventyr 1919 5-Volume Hardcover Fairy Tale Books in Danish


Condition: All bindings and pages are intact on each of the books. There is slight peeling on the books’ covers binding and edges to be expected with age. The books’ covers are green and have a marbled looking effect.  It’s noted that some ink residue from the covers is bleeding/transferring when handled. 


There is no handwriting or any markings in any of the books. 


Description: This is a 5 book collection of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales published in Danish. This edition of H.C. Andersen’s fairy tales follows the order found in the 2nd edition of his collected writings.  The text basis is the 1st edition of  collected writings, as the text is compared with the older editions. 


Each volume concludes with a literary historical and philological commentary on each adventure.
