Photograph Notes: The church is to be found at the junction of Claines Lane and Cornmeadow Lane. A wooden Saxon church existed here in 957 AD but was replaced by a stone Norman church at the direction of St. Wulstan Bishop of Worcester. Since then the church has been much altered and enlarged especially in Victorian times. Like large numbers of churches in medieval times the church had its own Church Ales House. Unusually this still survives as a working pub now known as the Mug House. It has been independent of the church for centuries since the time of Oliver Cromwell but it is on consecrated ground being within the area of the churchyard.
