On 11 September 2006 Domínguez Lino reached her career-high singles ranking: World No. 40. In the 1999 Roland Garros, she won Girl's singles, defeating Stéphanie Foretz 6 4, 6 4. In August 2002, Lino was suspended from the WTA tour for 3 months, after testing positive for cocaine that March. In 2005 in Bogotá she faced Flavia Pennetta in final, but lost. In 2006 she again faced Pennetta in the Bogotá final, and won her first WTA Tour singles tournament. In May 2009 at the French Open she made it as far as the third round, where she lost to Canadian world no 24 Aleksandra Wozniak, 6 2, 3 6, 6 3, with some rallies lasting 25 shots.
