Description: Depending upon who you talk to, this was either the second lowest or third lowest attendance of any ABA (American Basketball Association) All-Star Game.  We recently purchased three full consecutive ticket stubs from this game where each includes the stub plus a large portion of the original ticket which was torn well in excess of the perforations.  The two stubs could be torn down to be in NM-MT condition if graded and currently are in Very Good to Excellent given the tears.  Artis Gilmore was the MVP (Most Valuable Player) with the following players scoring: George McGinnis Indiana Pacers (14 points), Swen Nater San Antonio Spurs (29 points), Jimmy Jones Utah Stars (11 points), Willie Wise Utah Stars (8 points), Willie Wise Utah Stars (15 points), Warren Jabali Denver Rockets (6 points), Ralph Simpson Denver Rockets (12 points), Stew Johnson San Diego Conquistadors Q’s (8 points), Mel Daniels Indiana Pacers (5 points), Rich Jones San Antonio Spurs (4 points), Artis Gilmore Kentucky Colonels (18 points), Dr. J. AKA Julius Erving New York Nets (14 points), Mack Calvin Carolina Cougars (8 points), Dan Issel Kentucky Colonels (21 points), Ted McClain Carolina Cougars (12 points), Louis Dampier Kentucky Colonels (16 points), Larry Kenon New York Nets (18 points), George Thompson Memphis Tams (10 points), George Ice Pick Slim Iceman Gervin Virginia Squires (9 points), and Jim Eakins Virginia Squires (2 points). The Eastern Conference coached by James Babe McCarthy (Kentucky Colonels) defeated the Western Conference coached by Joe Mullaney (Utah Stars) 128-112 and Billy Paultz of the New York Nets was injured so he did not play.  Although the attendance was listed at 10,624, the Virginia Squires after trading Julius Erving became a mediocre team and there was a significant drop in interest in attending this game, making these ticket stubs particularly rare as PSA has yet to grade an example.
