We are pleased to be offering antique glass shoes from the personal collection of Libby Yalom, the author of the book series, Shoes of Glass.

This is a green-colored, wall mounted glass boot match holder.  It was made by Bryce, Higbee & Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., circa 1880s.  They named it a "Tramp Match Safe."  The item also appeared in the Butler Brothers Christmas Catalog of 1889.

This shoe appears on Page 66, Plate 31, Shoe 395 in Shoes of Glass 2.  This shoe is described on Pages 136-137.  Although this design has been reproduced, this item has the blocky stitching between the sole and upper of the original version.  This is THE shoe in that photo plate - see this listing's photos.  Collection provenance will be provided.

The shoe measures approx. 3-1/2 in. long x 4-1/8 in. tall.  It is in excellent condition, no chips nor cracks.  Please message us if you have any questions.

We are happy to combine shipping.  Please request that we invoice you before you pay.  Thanks.
