Stealth 2.8a Modchip for PlayStation 1

This listing is for a Stealth 2.8a modchip for use with the PS1. Stealth 2.8a is a modchip for the original Playstation console which will allow you to play your backups from CD-R, and also games imported from other regions. Although this chip will work with many PS1 versions, it is intended to be used as an alternative to MM3 for the SCPH-100X series of consoles, since MM3 has some issues playing some titles on these versions - specifically games with additional copy protection like Capcom games.

Each chip comes with enough solder and 0.25mm insulated wire to install the chip. To complete the installation you will need a cross-head/phillip's screwdriver and a soldering iron.

Stealth 2.8a has to be programmed differently depending on the region of your console, so please specify your region when ordering by selecting either PAL, NTSC-U or NTSC-J from the list.

IMPORTANT: Installing this ModChip requires you to solder the chip directly onto the main circuit board of the console. This can be quite difficult if you are not familiar with soldering. If you do it  wrong, you can damage your console. I am not responsible for any damage to hardware or loss of data from installing or using this product.
