The Nitty

You're looking at a brand new, limited edition Mabie, Todd & Co. Swallow Blue/Black Fountain Pen in a Fine Nib. It was an exclusive offered by Fountain Pen Hospital (FPH) for 2018.

This pen has gorgeous chatoyance, and it'll be a hard one to let go. I just have too many pens, so I'm hoping it'll go to someone who will use it. 

The cap and barrel are hand-turned from a unique resin of lustrous charcoal with blue swirls reminiscent of peacock feathering. A large pen, the Swallow is well balanced and writes comfortably with the cap off, or posted on the barrel end. The large, smooth, and surprisingly responsive Bock stainless steel nib is a joy to use. Many will admire these pens. Only 100 were made. It is a standard international cartridge/converter fill (converter included).

 

I always try my best to capture the best representation of the item in photos, but because there are many factors that contribute to what you see on your screens, the colors may vary slightly. 

I will be listing quite a few fountain pens over time, as I go through my collection to get rid of ones that I will never end up using.

The Gritty

Even if a pen is brand new - some pens have been dip tested by the manufacturer/pen maker/store purchased from/etc. This means that there may be residual ink from that, but the pen was still purchased as new and was not used by me. That means no ink touched beyond the nib and feed from any potential dip testing.

This comes from a non-smoking and dog-friendly home. However, the dogs are not allowed upstairs where my pens are stored.

I ship within 5-7 business days (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays) after payment is posted.
