THE 1985 CHICAGO BEARS: THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME 13”x19” COMMEMORATIVE POSTER

Simply put, the 1985 Chicago Bears were the greatest professional football team of all time ― a gang of colorful characters who pranced and pounded their way a 18-1 record and a Super Bowl title.

They were led on offense by running back Walter Payton (who had his finest season) and punky quarterback Jim McMahon (who riled the commissioner by wearing a “Rozelle” headband, among other things).

The most-intimidating defense of all-time was coached by Buddy Ryan, a genius who was constantly at odds with his volatile head coach, Mike Ditka

Middle linebacker Mike Singletary, defensive end Richard Dent and linebacker Wilber Marshall led the wrecking-ball defense to four shutouts, limiting their opponents to only 10 points per game. William "The Refrigerator" Perry was a 335-point rookie defensive lineman who Ditka deployed in the backfield in goal-line situations, scored three touchdowns, including one in the Super Bowl.

The team also performed off the field. Producing the ballad “The Super Bowl Shuffle,” after their only loss of the season in week 13 against the Miami Dolphins. They also did a rendition of the “Blues Brothers” which sold well.
