The 10 inch filter consists of 5 µm filter pad with granular activated carbon parentheses GAC parentheses. And another 5 µm pad GAC remove heavy metals from water and significantly extends the life of granular activated carbon by protecting the carbon bed from fowling by bacterial growth. This filter cartridge affectively removes heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, iron, and controls micro organisms. The filter removes unpleasant odors, Corine, hydrogen, sulfide, smell. The 10 inch poly propylene sediment pre-– filter to extract, suspended materials, such as sediment, rust, insects, and other particles down to one micron. This cartridge also extends life of other more expensive cartridges and prevents damage to the second and third water filter. Fits most 10 inch times 2.5 inch reverse osmosis systems, RV and water, filter, systems of all kinds.
