Photograph Notes: The old city docks of Bristol were regulated by some lock gates which themselves were operated with some powerful old hydraulic systems. The pub in the background was part of that - hence the tower which used to be an accumulator. Meanwhile the quieter use of the docks has given some poppies a change to flower.
