Charming, vintage, homemade
storage chest salvaged from Central Connecticut.
It is made of solid, old pine
and is painted red. The top/lid has a hand-painted nautical scene with an old
ship and 2 whales spraying water from their blow holes. It has 2, thick, rope
handles on both left and right sides.
This piece was most likely made during the 1960's. The chest has nicks and scratches, which is
common wear for furniture this old. However, there are no breaks, cracks, dents,
rot, warp, etc. Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and
found no repairs to make, nor anything to glue or reinforce. The lid opens and closes with ease This storage
chest is ready for another lifetime of
service!
