ITEM DESCRIPTION

 Royal Doulton seriesware Dickens E low relief cup and saucer D5833

This series was not produced for a long period of time, commencing in 1937 and being discontinued during World War II

The cup has Sam Weller and Fat Boy on it
The saucer has Mr Pickwick and Mrs [Betsy] Cluppins (which is an unrecorded scene in my Doulton seriesware books)

CUP approx 7cms (2 3/4") tall and approx 8cms (3 1/8") diameter
SAUCER approx 14.5cms (5 3/4") diameter

Both items are damage free - the cup has fine, clean glaze crazing, the saucer does not and the saucer rings like a bell when gently tapped.
