2006 compilation from this Welsh vocalist, who initially hit the British Pop charts in 1985 with 'Walking in the Air' while still a young schoolboy. Aled Jones has gone on to become one of the most consistent vocalists in Britain. His voice may have dipped to a baritone, but Jones has still shifted over six million records, entertained the Pope and the Queen, and has even become something of a minor television celebrity. One hit wonder, he isn't. You Raise Me Up collects together highlights from his 16 albums to date. Featuring many of his best-loved hits including "I Believe", "Silent Night", "Abide with Me", "Marble Halls" and, of course, the title track. Jones has also pulled off the wonderful masterstroke of re-recording "Walking in the Air", superimposing his current voice onto the original to create a most enchanting self-duet. Universal.
