these 4" : 110mm fittings have one socket end designed to take 4" pipe, which has an outside diameter of 114.3mm, and another socket end designed to take 110mm pipe. The size name of the fitting denotes the size of pipe it takes. Inch size names do not measure the same as an inch on a ruler. For a permanent fixture use Solvent Weld Cement/Glue.
