The Laos 1,000 Kip banknote was issued by the Bank of the Lao P.D.R in 2003. This purple banknote features three women in traditional attire, the Wat That Luang stupa in Vientiane, and the national emblem on its obverse. The reverse of the banknote depicts cattle and electrical power towers. The paper bill is 152 x 68 mm in size and bears a solid security thread with a demetalized 1000 and Lao text. It also carries a watermark that reflects a hammer and a sickle with a star. This banknote is in uncirculated condition.
