Returns

As per Australian consumer law, we do accept returns. However, the cost of return postage is the responsibility of the buyer, and a refund will be processed once the item is received in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition.

Fuel and Electrical items are not returnable. This includes but is not limited to Fuel Pumps, Fuel Pressure Regulators, Ignition Modules, Ignition Coils, Sensors, Switches, Senders.

It is the responsibility of the person fitting the parts (preferably a qualified motor mechanic) to ensure that the parts supplied are correct for the application and the same as the parts being replaced, including size, shape, and any other factors that may affect the fitment of the part. If a part is fitted to the vehicle and the customer later realizes it is the wrong part, we cannot accept it as a return, as it is the responsibility of the part fitter to ensure the part is correct before fitting. This policy is firm and not negotiable.

The original postage cost will not be refunded, and for items with free postage, a handling fee may be charged to cover the original postage cost.

We cannot be held responsible for buyers' mistakes when reading item descriptions and vehicle applications. If a mistake is made by the buyer, it will be their responsibility to return the item as per the above policy.

We are an honest business, and if we make a mistake, we will do everything we can to rectify the issue.

If a claim is made that the item sent is not as described, we reserve the right to request photos as required to determine the issue and how it can be fixed. In most cases, we will ask for a photo of the part we sent and the part off the vehicle.

No returns will be accepted without prior approval. For eBay orders, please submit a return request through your eBay purchase history. For website orders, please send us an email with a request. Any orders returned without authorization will be placed on a miscellaneous shelf.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please note that a cancellation fee may apply. The exact amount of the fee will depend on the payment method used, but it is typically around 6% of the original purchase price, including postage.

Please be aware that requests to cancel local pick-up items, such as aerosol products or other dangerous goods, will not be accepted after the order has been processed on our end.

Tax Invoices

We send items with Tax Invoices enclosed. Due to a recent scam doing the rounds on the internet we are unable to accept requests to have items sent without any invoices or market material. This is to protect both us and our customers. 

Domestic Shipping (within Australia)

Orders under $100 are sent with Authority to Leave where possible by default. If you would like to request signature on delivery, please leave that in the order notes. For orders over $100 you can can add Authority To Leave on your order in the order instructions.

Some bulky items may need to be sent by courier.

  • Once the order has been paid for, the address can not be changed. This is due to Seller Protection on eBay. You should change the address BEFORE placing the order. IF the order needs to be cancelled and re-ordered with the correct address, a fee may apply (to cover the non-refundable selling fees (eg. Payment Processing Fees)
  • Small Stickers (generally the My Family Stickers), will be sent as a letter with no tracking or signature required.
  • If a valid email address is provided you will get tracking updates emailed to you as they are updated.
  • If a valid mobile phone number is provided we will send updates as the parcel goes through our process, Usually a message with Order Confirmation, and then another when the item is dispatched. We may also send follow up messages once the order is complete to check up.
  • If an item requires a signature and no one is at the address to take delivery and sign for the parcel, your item may be taken to a collection point. You should get a calling card at the address with details on how to collect the parcel, or the details will be email to you. You may be required to provide ID when collecting the parcel. Note: Most of the carriers will hold the parcel at the collection point for no more then 14 days, after that time it will be returned to us.
  • If you give "ATL - Autority to Leave" for your parcel please advise in the order notes and we can arrange that for you.
  • Items where "Express Post" is selected the item will only be sent with Australia Post Express Post.
  • If an item is returned to us "Return To Sender" either because the address is incorrect, or delivery was unable to be completed. A re-delivery fee will be charged and can be paid by Bank Deposit or PayPal.

Combined Postage

Some items may be eligible for combined postage. To get combined postage items must be purchased at the same time in the same transaction. Add the item to your shopping cart and checkout all at once. Combined Postage will be calculated off the dearest individual postage. For example, if you buy 1 belt and the postage is $7.50 and you buy a set of Ignition Leads and the postage on that is $10. Combined Postage will be $10.

Pick-Up

Pick up can be made available from Mount Druitt, NSW only and only on items with a "Local Pick Up" option in the shipping options.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK WITH US TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN COLLECT THE ITEM AT THE TIME YOU WANT BEFORE BUYING.
Pick up times are generally between 9:00am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday but this can sometimes vary.
In some cases we may need to transfer stock from our warehouse to the pick up location, if you need it straight away contact us before buying. Otherwise we can generally get items transferred within the same day if ordered before 11:30am.

Note: Some Tools & Bulk Engine Oils (20L) may take approx 3 days to arrive before it can be picked up.

Please allow a MINIMUM of 3-4 hours for your order to be ready.
Note: * some items will take longer than others as it may need to be transferred from another warehouse.

  • 1. Purchase online BEFORE 11:30am and select Local Pick Up.
  • 2. Once the item is ready for collection we will send you a message with pick up details.
  • 3. Come in and collect your item at your convenience. Advise the counter staff that you are there to collect your online order, the product you are picking up, and your name.

All products we sell come with their own manufacturer's warranty. In most cases, the warranty will be for at least 12 months or 20,000km, whichever comes first.

If your item is found to be faulty through no fault of your own, we will process a warranty claim with the product manufacturer.

It is the policy of GSS Auto Parts that the warranty will be VOID if the part is NOT fitted by a qualified mechanic. Proof of fitment may be requested at the time of the warranty claim.

Please note that parts fitted to a non-original vehicle application will also void the warranty.

Warranty Procedure: Parts being returned under the manufacturer's warranty must follow this procedure.

  1. Replacement part must be invoiced and paid in full before it can be taken from the shop.
  2. Once the failed part has been returned to GSS Auto Parts, it will be sent to the manufacturer for inspection and/or testing. The manufacturer will then decide if it is to be repaired, replaced, or rejected. Please note that the warranty is a manufacturer's warranty and any decision made by the manufacturer has nothing to do with GSS Auto Parts or its employees.
  3. If the manufacturer agrees that the part is to be replaced and the customer has already purchased a new replacement, a refund will be processed.
  4. If the manufacturer agrees to repair the part, the repaired part will be returned to the customer.
  5. If the manufacturer rejects the warranty claim, the customer can choose to have the failed part returned to them; however, no refund will be given.
  6. The original invoice from GSS Auto Parts must be presented when presenting the failed part. This is not negotiable.
