Made of sheet brass, this standing spout lamp dates to the late 18th to early 19th century. Used with grease or lard, it has a wick extending through the spout. Base is filled with sand or whatever to hold the lamp. Currently it has very hard something in it with the stem resting on that. I left it as is, but it makes the top a little wobbly, but stands straight for display. 8" tall, base is 4".
