Nunney produced posters used to promote the war effort during the Second World War and, around 1947, a number of posters describing various aspects of education around the British Colonial Empire. He was represented by both W. Partridge and Rogers & Co. Contributed to Swift Annual and Bible Story.

His first commercial work is recorded as early as 1923 around which time he was living at Lincoln's Inn, Holborn. In the mid-1930s he was living in New Maldon. About this time he produced work for Johnnie Walker whisky in 1927. Nunney also designed posters used to promote the war effort during World War II and, around 1947, a number of posters describing various aspects of education around the British Colonial Empire. One of his posters was used to illustrate the cover of Commercial Art, May 1924.

Buying from us:

We really do appreciate that buying virtually is a different experience from a physical purchase. Thus, we aim to mention everything known about a work and include detailed photographs of each area, including the back of the painting, a close up of the signature and any known scratches, wear or damage. Please note, any lifestyle images are indicative only and may not reflect the actual artwork size. Please ensure you check the dimensions and do not use this image as a true reflection of size. We are happy to discuss any further questions you may have prior to bidding.

If you return a painting or print because we have described it incorrectly, we will be happy to accept return of the painting within 7 days.  Returned paintings must be returned tracked and signed by recorded delivery.
