This is an historic postcard showing the WW1 Military Hospital at Camp de Maily in France...

The military camp was also known as a Luftwaffe air field during WW2... It was an advance station for the   

Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka dive bomber and ground attack aircraft...

It was totally destroyed by British bombers during the night of 3/4 May 1944 as part of the preparation for D-Day on 6th June...

This is a very rare colour picture of this base...
