20 Oversized Valves + 20 Titanium Retainers by ABUSO
Set of 20 high performance valves and titanium retainers for the Yamaha FZR 1000 EXUP (1989+) and Thunderace 1000.
Does not fit earlier FZR 1000 Genesis engines.
Valves are made
of the high strenght and temperature resistant stainless steel (EV8 / 21-4N) commonly used in all high performance valves for racing or high strung engines (N/A, turbo or nitrous), these are a great improvement over the standard valves not only in flow but also in strenght and heat
resistance.
Valves are finished with durable black nitride coating to avoid stem wear
and increase durability.
The intake valves are 24,5mm (1,0 mm oversize) and the exhaust valves are 25mm (Stock size).
We found this is the best combination of sizes because it allows the camshaft overlap needed on race engines without contact between intake and exhaust valves.
If the valves are too big, they can hit each other during valve overlap.
20 retainers made of best grade Titanium - Grade 5.
The original intake retainers weight 4.6g and the titanium retainers weight 2,5g, 45% lighter.
The original exhaust retainers weight 6.0g and the titanium retainers weight 3,8g, 37% lighter.
These retainers have a smaller profile/height (0,5mm shorter) to allow for more valve lift without contact with the oil seal and without requiring valve guide modifications.
