UEFA EURO-2012 RUSSIAN TEAM T-SHIRT WORN IN SPACE BY COSMONAUT SERGEY VOLKOV

The red T-shirt presented for sale here is the part of the official uniform of Russian football team for the UEFA EURO-2012 championship. It was worn in space by Russian cosmonaut Sergey Volkov onboard International Space Station in November 2011. As YouTube video says, the manufacturer of the uniform - Adidas company - sent the T-shirt in space prior the football championship to Russian cosmonaut Sergey Volkov who was the first to represent it and support the Russian football team. ISS-28/29 was the second space mission for Sergey Volkov, successfully fulfilled from June 07, 2011 to November 22, 2011. The T-shirt has the emblem of Russian Football Union as well as the white-blue-red tricolor of Russian flag stripes. Totally spending in space about 167 days, the T-shirt returned on the Earth onboard Soyuz TMA-02M spacecraft.

Personality. Sergey Volkov is the first Russian cosmonaut of the second generation. His father cosmonaut Alexander Volkov flew onboard space stations Salyut-7 and MIR, retired in 1998. During his first space mission Sergey Volkov met the first American second generation astronaut Richard Garriott. They landed together. Commander of the ISS-17 mission at the age of 35, Sergey Volkov was the youngest person to command the ISS in its history. Like his father, Sergey accomplished 3 space flights totally spending almost 548 days in space. He made 4 spacewalks of the total duration of over than 23 hours. Titled as the Hero of Russia, Sergey Volkov has many awards. He left the cosmonauts team in 2017.

Condition - perfect. The T-shirt was worn in space only once to support the Russian football team, it's not torn, just slightly wrinkled.

COA from cosmonaut Sergey Volkov can be requested for the item. Besides that, Sergey Volkov can make personalized inscription for the buyer on the shirt, or, on the COA. Sergey is willing to do that to confirm the item provenance, with photo and video shooting of the process, if necessary. The T-shirt has no stamps or signatures on it.
