Photograph Notes: On the left is Nye Bevan House which houses four GP practices and four dental suites as well as a wide range of services including: a pharmacy, opticians, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, audiology, speech and language therapy, ophthalmology, orthoptics, podiatry, mental health services, district nurse treatment rooms, sexual health services, minor operations room, a child health clinic, health visitors and a community caf� managed by Rochdale MIND. In front is the Metrolink Tram Stop which opened in 2013. The line was extended and opened as far as Rochdale Town Centre in 2014. Behind that is St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. It was found in 1839 but rebuilt in a Byzantine style with a large dome in the manner of Hagia Sophia to a design by Oswald Hill (pre 1917) and executed in 1925-7 by Ernest Bower Norris. It is Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1376506 On the right is the tower of the former Fire Station.
