This auction offers a vintage and original cap badge issued to the Canadian GREDADIER GUARDS based in Montreal Quebec Canada dating to World War II. The badge appears to be made of brass and has a nice patina from age. The lugs on the back are intact. 100% original, not a restrike. Measures 1.75 inches long x 1.5 inches wide (4.5cm x 4cm). This regiment fought in France, Holland, and Germany from 1944-1945 and saw extensive fighting in Normandy at the Falaise Gap during World War 2. Badge has the King's Crown over the initials, with the words CANADA at the bottom, and the badge is shaped like a bomb. Condition is very good. Displays nicely!
