This helps to prevent theft by bolting onto the original OBD assembly. Anyone trying to get to your OBD port will physically have to remove the bolts from the unit to gain access. This takes time and the more you can do lengthen the time and effort needed to steal your pride and joy, the better. Installation takes between 5-10 minutes. 

Installation steps

1. Locate the OBDII Port under the steering wheel, just above the pedals.
2. Remove the two 8mm bolts securing the OBD assembly to the vehicle.
3. Pull the assembly down to release
4. Push the OBD block over the port and reassemble
