Photograph Notes: The name of this modern housing development is taken from the nearby church of Christ the King. The houses in this photo are on the site of the former Hilltop House which later became the Convent of the Good Shepherd, eventually divided into Mount Carmel Mother and Baby Home (which became notorious for the practice of forced adoptions in the 1950s) and St Bernadette's School.
