Beautiful original artwork by Canadian artist Claudette Castonguay. This mixed media piece of a child flying a kite, has acrylic and paper collage. It appears to also have some ink and pastel. Born in 1949, this Quebec artist portrayed whimsical animals, children and markets reflecting on the Quebec ‘Joie de Vivre.’ This piece is such a great example of her bright, joyous work. The curly haired child with bright pink cheeks, the kite, the bluebird…so much to see! Some of her older pieces like this one are selling for thousands. The teal wooden frame , in very good condition, as well as the beveled mat, perfectly set this charming, ONE OF A KIND piece of art.
