Photograph Notes: The pillbox was specially built to enfilade the beach on either side. There is no loophole facing the sea but two large (4 by 3 feet) loopholes face north and south. Access was via a low covered 'porch' at the back. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4199522 All three openings have been bricked up. This design is very rare and it is thought this is the only one of its kind still extant.
