Photograph Notes: Built in 1927, the Bardney Sugar Factory closed in 2001. Since then it has stood idle, apart from some buildings used for storage. It forms a very prominent landmark rising from the level land along the River Witham. In the interests of health and safety, there were proposals to demolish the works in late 2011, but it is still standing.
