For sale is this authentic antique bronze artifact from medieval Caucasus region of Europe. The Caucuses have been inhabited since approximately 224 (during the Sassanian Empire). With empires, kingdoms, nomadic peoples calling this home ever since, it is quite the rich historical area! Particularly, this entire area (between the Black and Caspian sea) was active throughout the early to late Middle Ages. With conflicts and mixed people groups, many artifacts were lost to time during this era. Here is your chance to own a piece of its history! This piece is some sort of fragment of jewelry that was located in the region with a metal detector by a team of Russian explorers led by a Mr. Baiklav of Russia. It was located with a metal detector and lightly cleaned, catalogued, and then sold as part of a lot of artifacts from the region. I was fortunate enough to acquire it with some other pieces for my collection when the lot went under the hammer. This piece is guaranteed authentic, and was ethically acquired from the region. This is a beautiful caucasion artifact, and would be an incredible addition to any collection! Great teaching tool, research piece, or gift! Don’t pass it up!
