Photograph Notes: Asker Meadows footpath improvement works looking north. The footpaths have been given definition by a packed gravel surface as part of a scheme to redefine them, make them more permanent and suitable for cycle use,and improve the River Asker footbridges. This is intended to encourage their use as a means of access to town from Bothenhampton and thus reduce the number of cars using town. What this laudable scheme doesn't address is the means of crossing the A35 in safety, the only controlled crossing being at the northern end of Sea Road South by the fire station.
