Wilhelm Nerenz was a renowned German romantical artist who lived and worked in Berlin in the 19th century. He was a pupil of the famous W.Schadow.

This work was executed in ca. 1835 (see F.v. Boetticher "Malerwerke des 19.Jahrhunderts", No.11). It formerly belonged to the collection of German industrialist Richard Holtkott (1866 Cologne - 1950 Röndorf; see our images nr.4-5).



Condition: In good overall condition; some slight, barely noticeable traces of foxing.
