An Antique Pair of Open Brass Barley Twist Candlesticks. 



A charming pair of antique open barley twist candlesticks dating from around the early 20th C.
 
These period candlesticks have  been restored to bright and polished brass.  The candlesticks stand on thick solid brass circular bases.  These are stamped "England" on the underside.  The columns are thick twin twists of solid brass.    Each barley twists has thick threadings to either end for attachment to their bases and candleholders.  The candleholder are barrel shaped with an intergal drip tray.  These candlesticks are in good condition  having a lovely polished gleam.     
  
Dimensions: The candlesticks have a base diameter of 8.5cm.  :They stand 15.5cm tall.  The candleholders have an ID of 21mm.

Weight; 627g's.
 

Condition: In good used antique condition.  There are no cracks or losses.  The brass is clean and bright.  There are very minor tarnish deposits and surface marks from past use and age.  We encourage potential buyers to make use of the 24 images to satisfy themselves of condition and encourage any enquiries. 

A particularly nice quality and condition pair of open barley twist candlesticks that display particularly well and remains fully functional.

The candlesticks are in good antique condition that can be immediately enjoyed.  The candlesticks are priced to sell. 

International buyers must contact for postal rates prior to bidding.  International buyers are responsible for any additional tax.  Postal rates are non-negotiable.  All packages are sent recorded delivery and require a proof of delivery signature.  We respectfully ask all recipients to carefully inspect packages and contents prior to providing signature.

Payment

We accept paypal payments. We also accept cheques but they must be cleared before any items will be sent. Buyers are also welcome to pick up items in which case we would accept cash.

Shipping

We do our best to ensure that all items are well packaged to ensure their safe arrival. In the event of rough postal handling and subsequent damage please contact us to allow us to resolve the problem. It is the buyers responsibility to check that the parcel is undamaged before signing for it Due to problems with items going missing, all items will be sent recorded, heavier items will be sent by Parcel Force 48 which requires a signature on delivery.This will be reflected in the postage costs, if you are not happy with the cost of postage then please do not place a bid. If you have any additional packaging or postal requirements we are always happy to accomodate. If you need an item particularly quickly e.g for a birthday present then please let us know straight away and we will dispatch as a priority. We will happily combine postage on multiple purchases. We are also happy for buyers to pick up items with cash on collection. International buyers must contact for postal rates prior to bidding. Some items may be automatically be excluded due to weight, fragility etc. All items sent abroad will be sent 'signed for' which will add to the postage cost. We always ensure that delicate items are packed carefully and thoroughly to ensure a safe journey, we use new,professional packaging materials bought specifically for the job. We do not aim to make any money out of postal charges, we charge just enough to cover the costs of sending items. Our main priority is that items arrive undamaged. Please bear in mind when leaving feedback that postal prices have recently increased considerably and that delicate items need a huge amount of packaging materials to ensure a safe arrival. Please also bear in mind that postage costs do not simply cover the cost of the stamp, they cover the cost of quality materials, time and petrol to get items to the post office. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE POSTAGE COSTS PLEASE DO NOT PLACE A BID.

Terms of Sale

We do not accept bids from ebayers with a positive feedback of less than 25. If you would like to place a bid but you have a low feedback score then please contact us first We accept that occasionally a buyer might feel dissatisfied with a purchase and in that instance we would ask that you contact us directly and we will do our best to resolve any problems. This includes returns, for reasonable reasons, which we accept with the buyer paying for return postage.
