I am this  panda's original owner. This is an exceptionally rare Hermann mohair panda. He was only available at the International Toy Fair in Nurnberg, Germany in the year 2000.  Hermann was celebrating 50 years exhibiting at the Fair and produced 5 different limited edition bears for the occasion. This panda is #2 of the 5 editions. Each edition was only made in quantities of 100.  Mine is 77/100.  What is so lovely about this special edition is he is holding a wooding representation of their logo, which is a teddy bear with rocking horse.  He also wears a red leather collar with bell.  His curly, dense mohair is a beautiful chocolate and taupe color. His head, arms and legs are all jointed. He has glass eyes and a black embroidered nose and mouth. His paw pads are taupe wool/felt.  He has the metal button on the back on his head, cloth tag and hand numbered hang tag/certificate of authenticity. Everything about hi is pristine/mint. He was never displayed.

I recently moved to a new house and in moving boxes that had been stored away, I discovered a treasure trove of my beautiful pandas I had completely forgotten about. As I am settling in to my new home, I am downsizing the collection. It's certainly pointless to keep such beautiful bears stored away. So I'd like to see them go to a good home with someone who can enjoy them on a daily basis. I have so many beautiful pandas from Steiff, Hermann, Clemens, Grisly, Merrythought, Deans, Martin Bears, Annette Funicello, Knickerbocker, Ganz, Mutzli, Raikes. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or additional photos.
