Bogdan and Kacper Kondrackich's 'Life of the Swarm' album definitely goes beyond the framework of a music album. It is difficult to say clearly what it is. Record, design, performance? Each of these terms seems adequate yet insufficient.
The album concept is striking in its simplicity. The Kondracci used only animal sounds to record the instrumental layer. No musical instrument (acoustic or electronic) has been recorded on the album, only animals and vocals by Kacper and Bogdan will be heard on it.
"Life of the Swarm" is a message from voiceless animals - oppressed, forgotten, sometimes even tormented by man. Listening to the album, we enter the intimate, very personal world of the Kondrackis, where there is room for loneliness and confusion, but also finding and loving, and in places even spiritual elation.
