The Vietnam 1,000 Dong Banknote from 1988 featured a portrait of Ho Chi Minh. The coat of arms of Vietnam and the former Prime Minister is printed on the front design. At the back is a mahout riding an elephant dragging a felled tree in the forest. The banknote is 135 x 65 mm in size and does not contain any security threads. However, placing the note under a UV light would show a Flower pattern.
