1899 antique lithograph: The Battle of El Caney,
fought northeast of Santiago de Cuba on July 1, 1898, during the Spanish-American War.
- In the foreground, American
soldiers in General Henry W. Lawton's 5th US Division direct the fire
from their field guns on the forces of Spanish
Brigadier General Joaquín Vara de Rey y Rubio.

The image area measures a
generous 33 x 52 cm [13" x 20½"].
- This is an original, authentic antique lithograph, not
a reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to be
genuine. It is signed by the artist in the lower corner and was
published by George F. Cram, Chicago, 1899.
- Condition: It in excellent condition,
with a vertical center fold, as issued, and no
marks, rips, or tears.
