This Guinea Bissau 50 Peso banknote from 1990 is part of the 1990 - 1993 series. Its obverse side bears a portrait of Pansau Na Isna wearing a hat, a Maiame drum, a flame as a registration device, and the national emblem. The reverse side features local women and men preparing traditional medicine with a caldron, ax, jug, bowl, mortar, and pestle. The note is 120 x 61.5 mm in size and is equipped with a solid security thread printed with BCG and a repeating BCG watermark to enhance its security features.
